Bladder cancer causes and symptoms - If you have bladder cancer, there is a malignant tumor in your bladder. Mostly cancer is growing in the bladder from the bladder's mucous membrane. Most bladder tumors grow superficially, rarely sow and are generally easy to remove.

Bladder cancer causes

The bladder cancer causes are unknown. There are, however, factors that clearly influence the occurrence of tumors in the bladder:

• Smoking.
• Chronic infection of the bladder.
• Prolonged irritation by bladder stones.
• Hereditary construction (rare).
• It has been very in touch with aromatic amines. These are carcinogens used in the rubber industry and pharmaceutical industry.

Bladder cancer symptoms

Blood in the urine is a common symptom of bladder cancer. Usually, you do not have pain, but sometimes you feel burning and you have a lot of urgency to pee. When you have these complaints, it is important to contact your GP. If there is suspicion of bladder cancer, you will be referred to the urologist. Photos and/or echoes will be made of your bladder and urinary tract. A survey can also be done to insert a viewing instrument through your urethra. If it appears that you have bladder cancer, the tumor will have to be removed.



Bladder cancer treatments

The treatments of bladder cancer depend on:

• The type of bladder tumor.
• The number of tumors.
• The rating (degree of malignancy of the tumor ).
• The stage of the disease.
• The physical condition.
• The growth in depth (superficial or deep in the bladder wall).

Prenatal bladder cancer

A carcinoma in situ is a superficial tumor that has not yet grown in the bladder cavity. This is a stage of bladder cancer. The treatment of such a precursor consists of bladder swabs. The bladder is then rinsed with medication. These drugs, cytostatics or attenuated tuberculosis bacteria can cause the rapidly dividing cancer cells to be killed.

Bladder cancer

Most bladder tumors are easy to remove. This is done with a tube that is inserted into the bladder through the bladder, where the tumor is cut away with a small instrument. The removed material is examined under the microscope to see if the tumor is good or malignant.

Aggressive bladder cancer

Some bladder tumors behave aggressively and grow deeper into the bladder wall or can sow. In that case, an operation through the urethra is no longer sufficient. The bladder cancer is then treated with a second operation or with medication and/or radiation.

The most commonly used treatments for aggressive bladder tumors are:

• Operation.
• External radiation.
• Internal radiation.
• Palliative treatment.
