Symptoms Of Stomach Cancer

Symptoms of stomach cancer are often not in the beginning. Gastric cancer or stomach cancer is the most common cancer type after lung cancer. Stomach cancer is hardly found in people under the age of 50. It occurs twice as much in men. The diet and lifestyle (smoking and drinking) are risk factors. Stomach cancer is often discovered at a late stage, as it initially gives little or no complaints. In addition, the complaints area-specific. In case of persistent upper abdominal complaints (eg stomach ache or bloating in the upper abdomen), one should be alert and turn on the doctor if necessary.

As stomach cancer begins to develop, the swelling is still small and there are usually no symptoms. Some types of stomach cancer do not cause symptoms until they are in an advanced stage. The possible first symptoms of stomach cancer include:

• Pain or discomfort in the upper abdomen, especially after eating.
• Indigestion. (NB: most people with this symptom have no stomach cancer).
• Nausea, no trek in food, no appetite. Some people feeling full after eating.
• Weight loss and/or lack of appetite. These are common symptoms of stomach cancer.
• Blood in your stool. In small quantities, this does not always occur. Many bleeding in your stomach colors the stool black.

As the swelling grows in the stomach, the symptoms of stomach cancer become worse, including:

• Same symptoms as described above, but worse.
• An overall feeling of unwell and more fatigue than usual.
• With frequent bleeding, anemia may occur, which makes you more tired than normal.
• The swelling can grow so that food and drink become difficult.
• If the cancer spreads to other parts of the body, there may be several other symptoms.

NB: All of these symptoms may also have a different cause, so research should indicate whether there is indeed stomach cancer.

Such complaints may also refer to benign stomach disorders, such as stomach ulcer. In case of persistent upper abdominal complaints, one should always think of stomach cancer. In a later stage of the disease, clogging or bleeding may occur or even a breakthrough of the affected stomach wall may occur. In case of outbreaks, the physical complaints exacerbate. Stomach cancer particularly promotes lymph nodes, liver and abdominal tissue.
