Assistance with the practical and emotional aspects of the disease is often welcome. The term 'aftercare' therefore involves a lot of: medical counseling, oncorevalidation (supervising and exercising to rebuild physical condition), psychological and social care and, if necessary, palliative care.

Part of the aftercare is also a regular medical checkup (physical examination, blood sampling, ultrasound, radiographs) to detect and treat a possible resume as soon as possible.
